Electricity

Poland uses two types of plugs: type C and type E:
  • Type C: A plug with two round pins
  • Type E: A plug with two round pins and a hole for the socket's male earthing pin
Poland's standard voltage is 230 volts at a frequency of 50 hertz. Traveling to Poland, you can use an adapter plug to make electrical connections. Adapter plugs can handle up to 240 volts, but they don't change the voltage or current unless your device is dual voltage. You should not use an adapter plug with heat-producing devices, irons, hair dryers, lamps, or appliances.
